Do you believe the following statement is true? “Your voice matters and it must be heard”. Most people I speak with, doubt this very statement, they struggle to embrace this declaration about themselves. What about you? Do you believe your voice matters?
Your voice is the unique expression of who you are.
When you decide to be small in a huge world, by being silent, going about your daily routine as if no one is noticing you, in essence you are devaluing yourself. Day after day most people press through their tasks without consideration of the impact they are making upon those they come into contact with.
I am here today to say, “The time has come for your voice to be heard… Live your life purposefully everyday”. Be willing to be radical if necessary, but don’t stay silent. Silence is a tool the enemy uses to distract you from finding your purpose and making an impact on the world around you. If you are silenced you are not a threat to the enemy.
It is time to stand out, to begin to put an action plan into place so your voice will be heard. People are waiting for your contribution…your unique perspective! Your voice matters!
The greatest deception to the human soul is believing your voice is small, therefore, does not need to be heard. Far too many people have embraced this lie. The truth is…you were designed by God with a plan and purpose to stand out in the crowd of life. God has perfectly shaped you! He knows every strength and weakness you possess, and how to support you in every way, much like an architect constructs blueprints for a building. God understands the intricacies to which He has uniquely created you. You are a beautiful masterpiece, formed purposefully to be noticed.
It is the uniqueness of a structure which allows it to stand out in a crowded city. There is no doubt, the architect of this fine structure knew exactly what statement he wanted to make. Likewise, God precisely designed your life (voice) to stand out in a noisy world.
No one has walked the exact path as you have. No one has lived in your shoes, therefore, your perspective is exclusive.
What message is buried deep within you? What life experiences has God allowed you to overcome? What lessons have you learned on your life journey thus far? How can you help someone else on their pathway through life? No matter your age, you have something to offer others.
These questions are meant to challenge you into action. There is always someone in need of guidance. An urgency exists for individuals who will step up and say, I have been there done that, I can help. What a refreshing concept! The world certainly needs more leaders who are committed to impart knowledge to others for the benefit of society. Do you have a mentor you respect? Have you considered being a mentor to someone?
I talk with my parents everyday. My mom is 77 and my dad is 80. We chat about a variety of topics. They are able to speak from a vantage point that I do not have. Their life experiences are invaluable. They hold within them the deep treasure of wisdom. Their voice must be heard. For them to be silent would be wasting valuable resources.
Young people would be serviced well to seek advice from the generations that have gone before them. Life lessons are not learned in school, they are learned on the battlefields of everyday living.
We do ourselves and the world a disservice when we discount our VOICE! I can sit and talk with my parents for hours, our conversations are always enlightening. There is something about the voice of experience which sheds a light as nothing else can.
In God’s perfect design for your life, He imparted to you certain talents and abilities which the world needs. You have a specific role to play in every season of your life. As long as you are breathing you have purpose. It is selfish on your part to keep your expertise ‘hidden’ from the world. You may not think you have anything exceptional to offer…I beg to differ! God doesn’t waste anything. When He created you, He created you intently.
Usually, it is difficult for us to see exactly what it is that makes us distinct from others. I challenge you to ask someone whom you respect this question; “ How would you describe me to someone who never met me”? Sound scary? Do it anyway, you may be surprised with their feedback.
I actually had to do this assignment when I was going through my Life Coaching certification. I was given the assignment to connect with at least three people and ask them what they felt my strengths were, and how they would describe me to someone who did not know me.
At first I was hesitant, nonetheless I had to complete the assignment, so I did it reluctantly. I was actually amazed by their assessment. The comments confirmed personality strengths I was aware of, but undervalued. This was, single handedly, the best personal growth assessment exercise I have ever done. The repercussions have left a significant mark on my heart, fueling the fire of my passion and purpose.
Awareness is not a prerequisite for influence.
With or without your mindfulness, your voice (life) is impacting others. Yes…the daily ROUTINE you follow has a domino effect on those whom you come in contact with.
Your voice matters! The essence of your voice, (who you are), influences those around you in a positive or negative way. Choose to create an affirmative legacy.
Be vigilant about your ROUTINE, and watch God create something extraordinary with your life. This composition is intended to help you do just that!
Repetition… Create an environment to repeat those actions which allow you to showcase your strengths. The thing you could do everyday and not grow tired, is your target for optimal impact. For me, it is speaking to people about how amazing they are in Christ, encouraging them to discovery a life of purpose and influence.
Others… Be focused on helping others. There is something innately placed within you that desires to be connected with others, with community. It is not all about you. ( also see blog post:https://www.lucyanncq.com/10-reasons-why-you-must-enlarge-the-lens-of-your-vision/)
Undermine…What undermines your ability to believe your voice is valuable or to take action to become a person of influence? Don’t minimize your importance because of someone else’s opinion, or your own doubts about how amazing you really are. Face your fears and take action anyway. (FEAR is nothing more than False Evidence Appearing Real).
Time… How you spend your time matters. Look to eliminate the distractions in your day so you can concentrate your energies on the things you are passionate about. Others need what you have.
Individuality… Your individuality is where your strength lies. Don’t try to be like others, don’t try to conform. Your voice will be noticed if it doesn’t sound like everyone else’s!
Never… Never give up on your desire to be all you can be. Your voice, is connected to your purpose, and that deserves your resolve.!
Eternity… Your voice has significance not only now, but for eternity to come!
Your voice was created to stand out! Don’t diminish it…allow others to hear you, and see you through the noise of a busy world.
